Laali [Preetika Chawla] is a die-hard Shahrukh Khan fan. She sells flowers on the street to earn livelihood. While selling flowers one day, a car stops and she hears a voice asking for flowers. She realizes that the person in the car is none other than her idol Shahrukh Khan. SRK just says, 'khoobsurat hai tu' and that makes Laali go crazy. The film begins with a person, John, stabbing Laali because she doesn't reciprocate his love. The remainder of the film is about Laali, John and the assorted people in the basti.

AR Rahman launches CWG theme song.

Commonwealth games are just days away and we are leaping behind in preparations for it, however we have got our CWG Theme Song . But what can a Commonwealth 2010 Theme Songs can do in this? yes this is good question but according to me, Indian Government and Commonwealth organizing committee should now take it serious as AR Rahman did in doing his work.

The 2010 Commonwealth Games (CWG) theme song, Swagatham, composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman, and it was realesed in Gurgaon on Saturday. The choreographer Shyamak Dawar’s group performed on the beautiful theme song Swagatham in a gala ceremony.

The 2010 CWG Organizing Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi launched the Theme Song Swagatham after the sparkling performance. After launch of theme song, Kalmadi said that 34 days are left over in CWG games and assured all the preparation will be finished. Assuring flourishing games, he hailed the theme song composed by Rahaman.

A.R. Rahman, revered for his soul-stirring music and recently bestowed the Padma Vibhushan by the government, will be paid close to Rs 5.5 crore by the Games' Organising Committee (OC) for composing the opening ceremony theme song.

Charumathi, a Brahmin woman lived in a town, Kundina. She was very humble and kind in her nature. She was very much devoted to her husband and family.

One night, Goddess Laxmi appeared in her dream and told her to worship Vara Laxmi and seek her blessings. Goddess Laxmi also explained the Vrata procedure and the best day to observeVara Laxmi Vrata. Laxmi asked Charumathi to observe Varalaxmi Vrata on the Friday just before Shravan Purnima, the Full Moon day in Shravan Month.

Charumathi informed about the dream to his husband and family. She also told to her friends and the word spread throughout the town. On the Friday before Shravan Purnima, Charumathi along with her family, friends and the women of the town observe Vara Laxmi Vrata. They worshipped Vara Laxmi with utmost devotion and offered special recipes and fruits to please her.

Goddess Vara Laxmi appeared before them and granted boons to all of them. Their houses were filled with grains, diamonds, jewels and gold. They all lived happily in their rest of life. Since the time, women have begun observing Vara Laxmi Vrata every year on the specific Friday.
